Membership Kingwood Band Boosters Membership Reminder!!!   To our New and Returning Band Families: Kingwood Band Boosters is a volunteer parent organization that works in partnership with the Band Directors to support and enhance the band program for ALL the students in the three Kingwood Middle Schools as well as the High School programs.  The focus of the program is to teach the students about the music arts.  But there are other skills they also learn along the way which they may not actually realize.  Skills such as team work, dedication, self-motivation, responsibility, self-discipline and leadership which are just a few of the life-skills they will learn and practice from being a member of the program. We simply ask that as parents of band students, please join our volunteer group and help us support Kingwood's band program and the enrichment opportunities it provides to the students.   Take a few minutes, print and complete the attached form then mail it along with the family membership fee of $20 to the address provided.  This is one of *THE BEST* investments you can make towards your student's education. Kingwood Band Boosters is a parent organization that works in conjunction with your Band Directors to support and enhance ALL of the Band Programs in Kingwood.   Our Membership fee is ONLY $20.00 per family.  We have a very strong Booster Club that supports our Middle and High School Bands in many ways.  Everyone is well aware that our school district has implemented budget cuts that have had an effect on Band and other Fine Arts programs.  Band Boosters has been very instrumental in providing funds that have been vital to the operation of the Band Program.  Some examples of our support include: Provide over $15,000 for clinicians to extend our students’ learning experience (this includes Middle & High School Bands) Reimburse $60 of your student’s summer band camp tuition (even if you have more than one student in band, each will receive the reimbursement for attending an approved band camp) Award summer band camp scholarships Award college scholarships for seniors (This year we awarded 14!!!) Provide over $18,000 to accompanists for local and state UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest (this includes Middle & High School Bands) Plan parties and rewards for the students, i.e., (cold soda at each football game when the band is playing (this includes Middle and High School Bands) Concession Scholarships (awarded to Middle and High School Band students for parent volunteer hours) As you can see, there are many benefits for YOU and YOUR CHILD by just becoming a Kingwood Band Booster Member!  Please help support our wonderful program by joining TODAY!!!
