TYLER MORRISON

Head Band Director

A graduate of Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, Mr. Morrison was named the KHS head band director for fall 2020. He came to Kingwood as the assistant band director in the summer of 2016. Before moving to Texas he was the United Christian Academy’s middle school band founder and director from 2014 to 2016. While in Tennessee, he worked closely with various large band programs and assisted as their marching tech and private lesson instructor. His students have received many awards on their instruments including college scholarships, admittance into the Tennessee All-State Band, Governor’s School and District Honor Band. Outside of directing the KHS band, he enjoys prayer, worship, kayaking, and other various outdoor activities.

KAMERON LANDES

Assistant Band Director

A graduate of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, Mr. Landes became the KHS assistant band director summer of 2019. Previously, he worked with lesson students in the greater Houston area in communities such as Cypress, Katy and Conroe. He has also worked closely with many schools all over Texas as a marching and music technician and private lesson instructor. He is married to Alli and they reside in Kingwood. When he is not directing the KHS band, he enjoys going to concerts, worship, and beach volleyball.

ALEXANDRA BETIK

Assistant Band Director

Alexandra Betik grew up in Ennis, TX and is a 2011 graduate of Ennis High School. Ms. Betik attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX and studied clarinet with Dr. Christopher Ayer. In 2015, Ms. Betik received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music with a focus in Music Education. Prior to working at Kingwood High School, Ms. Betik served her first year of teaching as the Assistant Band Director for Waskom ISD in 2016-2017. Ms. Betik served two years as an Assistant Band Director for Graham ISD from 2018 to 2020.  Ms. Betik met her fiancé, Joshua, during their first year at SFA. Joshua is in his fifth year of teaching and is an Assistant Band Director for Goose Creek CISD. When she is not at school, Ms. Betik likes to participate in various physical activities, travel, and spend time with her family and friends.
